2022 Palliative Care Training for Nurses (9th Class)
We are happy to report the completion of the 9th course of Palliative Care for Nurses in Nguyen Dinh Chieu hospital, from 1st Aug to 9 Aug 2022.
Nguyên Đinh Chieu hospital located in Bến Tre province, is a big hospital with 1,500 beds and nearly 700 nurses working. This is the first time MEET has come to Nguyen Dinh Chieu hospital to provide the training course to 36 participants which include Head nurses and key nurses of most of the wards.
The participants loved the course so much because Palliative Care can apply not only in Cancer ward but also other wards with chronic diseases. They are eager to have at least one more training class for other nurses in hospitals and network hospitals and medical centers in Ben Tre province.
MEET is continuing to sponsor this Palliative Care course for Nurses for many other hospitals in Vietnam. The next coming course will be in Hanoi for K Hospital (24 Oct to 3 Nov 2022). We also received contact from Hanoi Medical University Hospital to open the class there. Central provinces with Hue and Danang are also in the plan.
