Family Medicine

The purpose of Family Medicine Exchange is to promote  and encourage the training of Family medicine doctors in Vietnam.

Mental Health & Social Welfare

The MEET Social Work (SW) Team will be returning strong again. Our delegation, in just a few short years, is making a huge impact in a profession that has been silent for many generations in Vietnam.

Nutrition

They have primarily focused on current practices in hospital nutrition services, and education of medical students and faculty in the areas of our partners greatest concerns for their Vietnamese communities.

Midwifery

Midwifery has been an integral part of MEETS educational efforts in Can Tho, Vietnam. Sarah Kheiraliah has Lead the Midwifery Exchange since 2015.

Oncology

The Oncology Team Delegation has been a dedicated group of professionals providing management care for a variety of area ranging from managing depression and anxiety for cancer patients as well new treatments for lung cancer, lymphoma, and leukemia.

Palliative Care

This specialty is a relatively new field of study in Vietnam. In 2010, the first in a series of annual lectures about palliative care were presented at Can Tho University (CTUMP), under the leadership of Dr. Cyrus Appell,MD a Hospice Director at Group Health Cooperative.

Pediatric Surgery

The Pediatric Surgery Delegation has been a dedicated group of professionals serving Vietnamese children and families since 2004. 

Radiology

Radiology and medical imaging in general are essential for the delivery of quality healthcare. There are few areas of healthcare that do not depend on medical imaging.

English Language Program

The Medical Students at CTUMP truly look forward to opportunities to learn conversational English, and improve their vocabulary. It is especially helpful when our Volunteers have knowledge of medical terminology, but certainly not required for a successful exchange.
