Can Tho March 2020 Trip Cancelled
Due to health concerns for our volunteers and those in Can Tho in regards to the Coronavirus, the MEET Board has decided to cancel this trip. We want to thank all of you who contributed input resulting in this decision, and we apologize for inconveniences this decision will cause you.
All input from the MEET Board and Project Leaders has been in favor of cancellation of the trip. With a couple of exceptions, all volunteers feel likewise and more than half of March trip volunteers have notified us that they have decided to not come to Can Tho in March.
Numbers of cases and geographical spread are increasing rapidly- currently 6000 confirmed cases in 18 countries.
Supplies of diagnostic test kits in China are running out, suggesting that there are many more cases than have been reported.
2019 Spring Trip Opening Ceremony
The families who trust their children to our surgical care often travel for several days hoping their child will receive the much needed services they would not otherwise be able to afford. It is very gratifying to contribute to the future well being of this most gracious community.
